Thanks, having a lot of fun with this!
it's funny, the strips are over 20 years old but they really havent aged! i thought i just grew out of action force comics, but i realise now they just got really juvenile when marvel uk took over.

Well... Battle had some pretty weak moments too, the time when Cobra hijacked the printing press and changed all of the stories was pretty childish, also the strips from the summer specials and annuals are bloody awful. But yeah, otherwise the stuff is gritty as hell, John Cooper's art can be incredibly moody - I'm thinking of Gung-Ho and Operation Claymore in particular.

And again, while the MUK stuff was pretty light by comparison, I have to rate the artwork. Kev Hopgood's attention to detail is every bit as strong as Vanyo's, and Geoff Senior still ranks as one of my favourite comics artist, I just wish he was still going.

I'm feeling bad about you joining up when the site is down, so I have created a list of the .cbr downloads. I'm not posting the online galleries yet, but if you get these you'll at least be able to catch up. I did a bit of digging and here are two .cbr readers for the Mac. FFView and Comical.

I didn't mind some of the more camp ones, xmas ones etc. The Annual that had Snow Job in full snow gear fighting Cobra in Africa was a bit odd tho. Actually the following year Stalker and Scarlett were up a tree for a few hours watching Duke try and find their crushed bodies, also a bit odd.

Any chance you can put a link up for the MAF Profiles, Baron?

Got too love when Climate Specific individuals get put in the wrong spots. Snow Job in Africa sounds great, Just like Dusty in the North Pole!

there was a GI Joe story where Snow Job and Torpedo were manning a WHALE in the South Pacific and SJ was still wearing his bulky winter coat...

i also hate the art continuity f-up of Stalker, Snow-Job and Quick Kick going after the journo imprisoned in Borovia wearing black non-descript clothes and being tried in the kangaroo court and tossed in the Gulag in their Joe outfits, including SJ in his winter whites.

Could I ask that you post reduced size / quality images on your blog please? Don't want to spoil the forthcoming attractions!
