The 'sand' is simply one of my favorite shirts, made from a chamois effect material, turned inside out..books of diferent thickness placed underneath to add hills etc.
I just use a fairly basic 'point 'n' click' Canon camera..if you take a look @ these on my Flickr photo-stream that'll give you the model number..but, basically, I just point the thing & press the button letting the camera work all the technical stuff out
