Some of the last Ukrainian troops inside Donetsk Airport sing the national anthem as their last stand commenced.

Provenance of this video seems ... ok ... maybe intriguing ... via a Russian social media site which hasn't deleted Ukrainian content as per usual ... and only uploaded to youtube in April.

After all, everyone was singing the national anthem at Maidan after the first BTR came in against the barricades and got hit by fifty molotovs ...

Russia equipment in Luhansk filmed July 2nd by a drone belonging to a non-profit organisation "Army SOS" that, in reality, runs most of the logistics in East Ukraine based on income from SMS donations.

Been doing the rounds since May at least, but got a new lease of life: Russian SU24 Fencer heads in for a refuel with a Garmin bolted to the dash.

PR vid from Ukraine's Dnipro-1 volunteer battalion around Pisky in the last days.

No great shakes but you get a sense of the mix of amateurs holding parts of the line.

Really interesting stuff, Herr Feuer... thank you for posting. The words of General Dunford this afternoon are echoing round my head as I watch.

I have the same one... I have yet to figure out how to use it properly. Ho hum.

Me too. I know enough not to get lost with it. I use it for marking where I parked the car when I go walking or if I stumble across a wallow or rub tree. Soooooo much better than a map. I guess the Ukrainians agree.

Just over a year since a Ukraine army field base - a unit north of Luhansk beginning the move south to secure roads to and from the Russian border - was obliterated by Tornado MLRS battery fire from inside Russia.
