Debaltseve fell last night. A fair number of Ukrainian troops got out on different routes under cover of darkness in vehicles and on foot, falling back 20km or so before first light. Were able to bring some wounded and KIA with them. In the circumstances they did well to get anyone out.
Outside the kettle Artemivsk mortuary handled about 50 KIA today. Nearly 170 WIA in the hospital (which has been hit a few times by artillery during the last weeks).
More troops who got out overnight

Drone footage of Debaltseve a week ago, also features outlying large villages possibly even after they were initially captured as covers 11th to 15th Feb.

In which two-dimensional quiffbotherers catch up with BFTB's sporadic coverage of the War in Ukraine ...
This system has a number of kills now from late last summer /autumn - more recently it has demonstrated the ability to take out short range ballistic missiles.

Was ready for a few hours' kip but have a potential exclusive inbound for the paul463, Chopper, Tshot and associated Hopper's of this world.
In the interim, Tu95 bomber radio net was up all day, later on someone had to put a tanker up too.

Footage released today of RAF Typhoons and a French Super E intercepting a Tu95: but filmed from the Tu95.
Text from original source is all blah-blah about an intercept while refuelling with an IL-78. Possible. The Russians have come over the top of UK and Ireland to meet Egypt based IL-78s.
But could just be blah as another context is handover from France to UK as two Tu95s went up la Manche the other week. Could be even earlier footage from the Baltics before the patrol handover but France has Rafales armed to the gills east of Stettin. Suggests lazy Super E shrugging out of Le Havre-Cherbourg.
Glad to see UK still has some AMRAAMs around. Might have needed a whip-round like the Ukrainians, SMS AMRAAM to 101 etc. However, still need an SMS ALARM to 101 campaign.

Did a Tu95 Bear really end up over Bodmin on Tuesday?
Would explain some of the ensuing hysteria (well, umm, impassioned whining and ) from DSACEUR.
The over-the-top of UK + Ireland, Atlantic RV with Egypt based tankers tactic may have paid off.

Think they were close but not over. If they were then that would be a whole world of sh*t. Task 17!
I am half expecting to see a Bear over St Andrews the day Leuchars closes and is handed over to the Army.
