I've no space for any more bases at the minute but I'd love to see someone have a go at making this (the dive area in particular!)

Excellent work. You have a knack with these bases

i'd love to try this but i'd bet dollars to pesos that i'd have trouble with it, get pissed off and it'd end up flying out the window...

If you want it just for display (and not for kids to play with) you could make it VERY EASILY just by sticking the labels on foam board and glueing the different parts together -this can be reinforced by using small pins or even toothpicks.
Come on, give it a go!

Very impressive Fanboy do you plan anymore bases?

I'll do a base for the enemy at some point. After that, I'm not too sure - they do take up a lot of free time and I have no more space to store any more myself.
Thanks for the feedback.

Fanboy, would it be possible to do a photo tutorial for assembly, please? I'd love to see a pic of how it's supposed to look.

this is the sort of thing i would have a go at, but seeing how it's done first would be a must, i could see me kicking the house down if i f*&^ked it up.

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
I could talk you through the assembly but I'm not actually building this one as my son isn't into AF anymore (Damn you, Dr Who!).
I'm amazed how you seem to think this is tricky - I promise it's a doddle -I even sized everything to A4 to make life easy for you. You could even build a trial version on cardboard if woodwork scares you.
Go on, have a go -I'll talk you through it each step of the way!
It's a bit cheeky of me to ask but would there be a market in me making and selling these bases, each one custom made to the buyers specs. And if so how much would they be worth? (I'm thinking about £30/£40 for about 5 or 6 hours work and materials).
