Even if that hand belongs to a genocidal maniac who is bent on world domination, obsessed by skulls and unlikely looking robots/mutant/things, and wears a wastepaper basket on his head. Man, I dont know what I was drinking that night, but there were some awkward moments that morning...

I've noticed paint differences between the figures that were bagged with the vehicles and the bubbled over stock versions. Bagged Gaucho has an orangey red vest where as the bubbled version has a dark red vest, bubbled hunter has a brighter flesh tone than the bagged version as does Blades. Outside of the three main Jammer variants there are also thin and thick Z-Force logo variants. I'll check the date stamps between bagged and bubbled Hunters tomorrow.

Buddusky, are the grey highlights a brighter colour too on the Hunter?
The waist on the China one I have looks to have been swapped to make a better Hunter possibly at some point. The grey highlights are much brighter grey compared to the rest of the body.

I think they are, could be a different shade of blue as well. I've haven't been to my folks house yet, been shovelling bloody snow all morning, I'll take some pics.

All my Hunter's are made in Hong Kong. The Hunter on the left of the picture has a brighter flesh tone, this one came off a bubble. Possibly in a different light the grey highlights are darker than the others but they're all pretty nigh on the same. I know what you mean though Dave as I have two Hunters with no logos that are very dark grey and blue but I think that's down to wear, if I can find them I'll check the date stamp. With the exception of skin tone the bubbled and bagged Hunter's look the same.

The picture doesn't do the variant any justice, there is a big difference between the orange and red Gaucho vests.

I wish I could have spent more time pulling this together! Anyway, hope it's of interest!

Looking @ the archive, were all the blister packed convention figures Palitoy over stock, or where they specially re-produced for the event?
Were the U.K. 's ever supplied with weapons?

To what extent, if at all, can we put these differences down to environmental processes?

Exposure to different degrees of sunlight, both pre and post opening, for example. The bagged ones in boxes would have no exposure to light, but the bubble packed ones would.

Would this make a difference? Or is simply the paint mix used in the plastic.

Just a thought.

Hunter was never released as a convention exclusive. Bubbled overstock Hunter came with a Cobra Officer AF-47 where as the bagged version that came with the Wolvie had none. With regards the convention versions, from experience I always thought the quality of the convention Blades/Tripwire was poor in comparison to the UK versions.

I've come across the thick and thin Z-Force logo a few times and I've seen the Gaucho vest variant quite a few times.
