how could you make a GOOD action man movie?
make it about a badass soldier who hunts terrorists who are more realistic versions of No Face and Doctor X. make it realistic and not use all the xtreme bollocks.

or read my fan-fic when i finish it...

I think it would be hard to pitch a Actionman movie, who would it be aimed @? would it be a child friendly 007 spy pastiche or a more mature teenage movie?

thats also not really the point, if MAX STEELE can be made into a movie the much wider known franchise as ACTION MAN should have been EASIER to pitch, especially after GI JOE and Transformers were made into movies and were huge successes all done by the same studio and same toy company

Im not saying it should be done, I just dont get how MAX STEELE can be made into a movie and not ACTION MAN

I think it would be VERY easy to screw it up. It couldn't be a mature age film or you'd kill off the majority of the group that actually need targeting. As a regular visitor to AMHQ I'd say those that love VAM are (mostly) already engaged in collecting and really think that you couldn't target the grown-up VAM collectors in the same way 25th GI Joe has.

From that point of view, it would be a lost cause I think. Mattel would have to be really keen to bring out a MS movie.

Action Man (60's-80's) wasn't really a single character anyway. So if you wanted to make a VAM movie you could just make a WWII film, like the Corgi books.

Lets face it, Hollywood's just out to make a fast buck, of they can produce a succesful money spinner from a little known toy line they will..it's probably a ploy to get the movie rights to a He-Man film, the real jewel in Mattel's boy's toy crown.

I don't trust Hollywood with non American licenses any way, look @ how they cocked up Thunderbirds...twice!!!

Once with that Power Rangers type make over, then that damn live action movie...

A.
well from the link i posted it looks like its going to happen, Paramount has the new moon actor in mind for the role

Im just saying that if a Max Steel MOvie could be done then theres no reason an AM movie couldnt be done, MAX STEELE was a ripoff of AM

especially givin the track record that paramount has with Hasbro

Has Max Steele got a history like AM, tho? Ah I see, 2 series worth. VAM is just a soldier, pure and simple, MAM is very much in the mission Impossible mold. If MS has no real back story then Mattel could do what the liked I guess, as an avenue of advertising their toy line.

It would be far easier to do a MAM film, I guess.

More than an Action Man ripoff, Max Steel is the scaled-up successor of a scaled-down AM ripoff: Mattel's Big Jim (known here in Latin America as "Kid Acero"). Max is even the son of Big Jim according to the series!
