Its kind of interesting, I think.
2 years ago when I joined our mighty space, I would have expected a question like this to have been met with disdain.
I would have thought that all the members were 100% Palitoy.
Since then, people have come and gone. People's collections have grown and some [even my-palitoy-obsessed-self!] have dipped a toe in the Hasbro water.
The Baron has moved the site on from the Palitoy years as well.
I think the heart of our site still beats Palitoy, but times have changed and there is an appreciation of the later years...

Palitoy, as a toy company, holds a special place in most of our hearts I guess...growing up, I started playing with Actionman, moved onto Star Wars followed by G1 Transformers & then Hasbro's A.F (which I consider to be G.I.Joe & not A.F.), sure I had the odd Action Force figure wilst growing up, but didn't really get "into" the Palitoy series 1 & 2 untill a few years back.
I do remember seeing the 1st wave of
& dimissing them as being little Actionmen & not as good or "cool" as Star Wars figures...I seem to remember a t.v. advert for the 1st wave aswell, but as old age is setting in ( I'mmmm 35 you know!) it could be just a figment of my imagination
I think it was reading the Marvel Joe & A.F comics that 1st sparked my interest for the jointed figures & characters, especially the "Special Missions" comics, I made the link between them & the characters from the Palitoy toys that the "cheapo" seaside toy shops were off loading @ the time, so I got a lot of the older jointed figures (
&
) then.
