Re: Jamars Modern RED SHADOWS ARMY Customs
I was wondering when someone was going to mention the wraith LOL
Ya the silver parts would be better in black thats for sure I just suck at painting LOL
the vest also lends itself to be suitable/given black shoulders, reminiscent of the original design too. the details are already there so if someone was a good at painting they could probally do that too.
cant wait for the transfers TKW! thank you , should be about 2 weeks

Re: Jamars Modern RED SHADOWS ARMY Customs
okay finally got this guy off of ebay, (so hes not available quite yet at mass retail , or at least from my understanding that is ) had to buy the stupid vechile so if anyone wants it for 10 bucks its thiers.
anyhow, I really like this figure as a BASE figure for a modern Red Vuluture, It has that old BAF Red Shadow feel to it with the paint apps but it also has hints of the new DDP red Shadows too with the jacket and colar. It should be noted that the collar can be taken off, and maybe that would be the way to go for a BASIC RED SHADOW trooper, just keep the collar for RED VULTURE.
Im really happy with this figure expecially for RED VULTURE since I never liked him being exactly the same as a basic RED SHADOW trooper except gloves, I always wanted a different look for him and this just sits right with me

Heads you see are by the awesome STEVED and eye slits and logos are from The Kraken Wakes and Squad leader

Im quite happy with my Shadow army now, the Hyenas are still waiting for The Kraken Wakes stickers to come ( any day now) and I got 7 more eyeslits to add to my O-ring style shadows and Id like to get at least ONE more Red COBRA RESOLUTE TROOPERS and one more Cobra Diver to round things off before the army is complete, but its almost there and I finally have a Red Shadow army!

anyways enjoy the pics

Re: Jamars Modern RED SHADOWS ARMY Customs
Sweet. Did you do the black and white shoulder markings, Jamar, or is that how they are sold?
Please could I see a pic without the collar?

I didnt do ANY PAINTING ! i just popped off the head put SteveDs heads on put the Logos and eyeslits on and thats all!The Baron wrote:Sweet. Did you do the black and white shoulder markings, Jamar, or is that how they are sold?
so ya thats how its sold with the black and white shoulder markings, ironic that is such a match isnt it? thats why I submitted in the last Hasbro q and a if it was a nod to the red shadows
im actually afraid to do this as I intend to keep it on, its probally very easy to do from the looks of it but there is a small amount of glue attaching it in the back ( there two pegs in the shoulders holding it on ) and if I take it off Im afraid I wont be able to put it back on as well as its on now.The Baron wrote:............

Ah right, sorry I read it as being removable. Very close on the markings, too much of a coincidence?

well it is definately a different peice and its not molded to the torso, so its somewhat removable, probally very easy to do and if it wasnt a 25 dollar figure ( comes with some vechile ) I would definately do it . I just plan on keeping it on and dont want to break that LITTLE glue in the back to get it off
Re: Jamars Modern RED SHADOWS ARMY Customs
Wow! This guy looks absolutely brilliant jamar! Excellent! I've got to go now to scour eBay for a couple myself!

Re: Jamars Modern RED SHADOWS ARMY Customs
The
custom looks great, save for a little detail... you should put a
logo to cover that Joe insignia, Jamar...
