Actually, there's a thought... has anyone ever organised an Action Force "get-together"? Maybe not a full-blown convention... (been to a couple of Star Wars ones... very strange!!!), but just a celebration / swapshop.
Also, I'm sure it's been covered on the website, but bloodforthebaron is HUGE when you're looking for a quick answer! When did The Red Shadows start appearing in DDP's GI Joe comic... and how many appearances have they made?
And the three audio adventures mentioned earlier in the thread... are copies available? Either as cassettes or on some kind of new-fangled download thingy?
Hope you have a great weekend!

Yep, I saw the online comics, in fact that was one of the deciding factors in my signing-up!
I just wondered if any of our neighbours across the Atlantic had actually physically got hold of any copies. They're quite a bit different from American comics (of which I have many!).
By the way Jamar... I followed your suggestion on youtube and found a certain "Battle Action Force" related book! Please "pm" me the details...
I've spoken to Arctic Assault. I'll see if I can get him to sign-up.
Take care!

I've picked up quite a sizeable collection of them, and it did cost an arm and a leg to ship them over here 2 boxes, England to Pennsylvnia cost me I think around $80. It cost me more to ship the lot than buy them. Got them off e-bay, the auction didn't have listed how many issues there were or what ones they were but had a picture of a huge stack ! So I got it fairly reasonable, and there were all sorts of goodies I found in amongst such as posters, stickers, and a cardboard Baron Ironblood helmet. I read my hardcopies up into Operation Claymore and have set them aside for awhile to get other things accomplished. I love the Barons on-line gallery (Now in Color !!) but there is something about having the hard copy to pick up.

ya I hear you, thats why we went ahead and did the book a lot of people including myself just LOVE having a hard copy in our hands to read.
I know a lot of people on other boards have told me they liked what we were doing but didnt like reading them online so when we did the book they quickly ordered it
as for the RED SHADOWS appearance, I think thier first appearance was in 37 of DDPs a real american hero series but I would have to check . If you buy the trade paper back Rise of the Red Shadows, youll have them all pre Americas Elite
then in Americas elite, the leader had a small 2 page cameo / conversation with the Baroness then they were mentioned or shown throught
go to my declassified threads and you can get actual issue numbers that they appear in
the most recent issue #34 they were shown again!
Action force had a cameo in issue 30 too! quarrel Blades Hunter and Moondancer showed up on Panel!

Thanks for the links! Ah... such memories. And better sound quality than my old tapes! Its a bit weird though when everything suddenly goes GI Joe... I'm not so familiar with those characters. But I still enjoyed it!
I loved the "DECLASSIFIED"s as well. Very cool. I wonder if you could "custom" some for ALL the characters, Palitoy AND Hasbro... but I guess that'd take a looong time!

Cheers Jamar! You'll be glad to know I'll be able to order your book soon.
Also, I forgot to ask any of you...
On the cards for any of the 1982 Action Force "12 back" figures, you can see the Deep Sea Diver (later recoloured and rereleased as the Q Force Deep Sea Defender). Was the white-clad Deep Sea Diver ever available as an individual carded figure? Or only available with the AF 7 vehicle play-set?
Cheers!

Thanks, Lady Jaye. I'm hoping to surprise my two brothers with some childhood souvenirs when their birthdays come around... so I hope they don't see this post! My younger brother had the AF 7, and I've just picked up a Deep Sea Defender MOC to bundle-up with his birthday goodies as that is the closest thing I could get to the (non-existent!) MOC Deep Sea Diver. My older brother was into Z Force and SAS Force.
By the way, its nice to "meet" you here!
