Le Commandant Noir sorry the Major was the toughest enemy

came up against. He was ruthless, efficient and one helluva nasty b***ard!
The Baron might have been more vicious but he never did any of the dirty work, unlike the Major.

Sorry for that off topic wandering..
as far as the AK-47 goes, don't forget, the USSR used to flog them to every two-bit terror group and revolutionary army going in the 60s, 70s and 80s as part of their deluded dream of bringing down the 'corrupt decadent Imperialist West'.

& also the A.K.47 was inspired by a German weapon, the StG44..

For me it was..........

hands down. Forum Member The Black Major put it succinctly.
I also agree, he was a good guy with doubts that was forcibly turned into a baddie. As for the Wilder Vaughan thing, I HATED the DD Red Shadows, they looked awful and DD imho really, really shat all over Joe fans with their bollocks....Sorry Jamar but Im also not easiliy satisfied. I HATED the neo Red Shad uniforms they created.....
Segueway aside.....ahem, i.e. rant over, I also liked the design of the original Red Shadows....loved the Nazi Stormtrooper uniform with red knight like mask. As a kid, I often wondered where these men or simply androids due to the helmet having some form of pack on the back at the nape of the neck, brim of the rear part of their stalheim helms....It was only until School For Snakes I knew different!
Didn't think of the cyrilic/russian connotations in their code until it was mentioned here....nice!

what???? you dont like this??

I love the original shadow basic trooper uniform and not using it was a mistake on DDP part, however I did like the looks of the new guys as indivicual characters
and I always hated Red vulture being exactly the same as a basic red shadow trooper so having him in the DDP red shadow uniform with the old hat makes him unique finally. but ya give me the old red shadow uniform anyday for the troops!

No, sadly Im not responsible for the art, wish I was, would make the whole red dawn thing cheaper to produce LOL
like I said I wanted to make red vulture unique but wanted to keep him resembling him self from before. I also liked the DDP look of the red shadows but not so much for the basic troops. so I thought the design led itself to being better used for a character like Red Vulture who needed something to set him apart
with that said, Im not for sure why people were so against this design of the red shadows, IF YOU READ THE ORIGIN STORY OF THE BLACK MAJOR the red shadows are practically wearing the DDP uniform but with classic helmets.
selective memory I think LOL
biggest mistake on DDPs part though was indeed not using the original design on the basic foot troops

well I'm making the coats the shads are wearing a different shade of red to the basic uniform a little darker .. still not familiar with devils due stuff yet .. I'll catch up with 20 odd years of action force/g.i joe universe one day .. (same goes with most comics lol) I guess (whether events could possibly connect up I don't know ..that's why if I do any stories then it will be set in 80's .. kind of like a spin off in the way Knights of the Old Republic would be.. well that's the plan at the moment ) I hope nobody has license otherwise any fan fiction will remain fan fiction s opposed to the genuine thang ..
