Yeah, a sort of hollow victory...
Yay, new variant.
Boo, new variant = more hassle!
Still, one of the reasons we collect AF is to satisfy our collecting gene... this just means we can carry on a few stages more before we have to stop and try something else!
I'm currently struggling with sub-variants - where one type of figure has a slightly different arm to the one it should have. Don't ask, but expect a new post soon.

The full tally of figures and their variants affected by the new head sculpt is as follows:
Arctic Assault T1 - Red eagle on head
Arctic Assault T2 - No red eagle on head
Arctic Assault T3 - As T1, but with variant head sculpt - round mouthpiece, rounded nose
Arctic Assault T4 - As T2, but with variant head sculpt - round mouthpiece, rounded nose
Ground Assault T1 - Dark brown camouflage on upper crotch
Ground Assault T2 - Dark brown camouflage on lower crotch
Ground Assault T3 - As T1, but with variant head sculpt - round mouthpiece, rounded nose
Ground Assault T4 - As T2, but with variant head sculpt - round mouthpiece, rounded nose
Naval Assault T1
Naval Assault T2 - Variant head sculpt - round mouthpiece, rounded nose
Q Force Sea Skimmer (Surfer) T1

On a side note, didn't all

& Artic Assault figures have the red helmet badges?
All the ones I've ever seen have one, or the @ least the remains of one.. it's a very delicate paint app' which is worn off very easily... have any non badged examples shown up M.O.C.?
