Again, a brilliant idea, but I think non -viable - the size of the mould necessary for each part would mean that I would go through the materials at an alarming rate - and it is the mould making rubber that is expensive, rather than the plastics to make the parts themselves (so far it's cost me over £100 in the rubber to make the moulds for the Shadow heads, and the guns and other bits and pieces) so to make several large moulds for prison walls would be pretty costly in the materials involved. Is there one particular part that people find tends to break? I know my door is sketchy where the hinges are, but is that what others have found?

My door is fine, it's the tabs that clip the walls to the base that always go, in my experience.

Are you not including the manufacturing costs in your sale prices, Steve?

Trying to keep costs down for people as much as possible, so on prices at the moment my time is a write off - I'm tending to do them when I do my customs and everything I have done thus far I have needed multiples of for my own projects, so I'm not too bothered on that front. So prices I'm charging are to try to recoup some costs of materials and the mould making stuff. I'm a loooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg way away from even breaking even thus far though - TBH doubt I ever will (Alan Sugar would have me on my way out of the door in no time!) that's why I have to think carefully before I buy any more materials to try new stuff for a while.

I certainly shant be giving up the day job to become a toy maker at this rate anyway, but it's been a fun little experiment to learn how to make them, and handy to know for the future. And as I say, the moulds are all there if anyone wants any of the items I've done so far in the future, and I plan on using my current batch of chemicals to stock pile bazookas, tridents, heads etc so I will have a good few "in stock".

Random request there Bill! Do you mean in pure white?

So, if I were to draw up a shopping list, am I right in saying that folks may be interested in:

Short aerials (for silent attack etc - would be a struggle to get Z force green right though, but I can get some green dye and experiment)

Laser Exterminator view finder and support leg (would likely be black, rather than the off black Pallitoy used)

Shadowtrak side missiles (again, in black)

Uzi's?

Fixed (i.e not pivoting) vehicle guns - in red, white, or black.

Also, nobody has mentioned them, but possibly:

Long aerials?? (would be pretty ridgid, but could be cast in white, black or red)

:deepsea: 's Hammer? In RED - should be doable...

And I'll likely retry with the Series 3 head to make it less Giraffe like and address that squishing of the back box.

Not promising anything, but may order some more mould materials in a month or so and do some more bits and pieces.

I would prefer them if they were all one colour or off colour then you could paint them yourself and it would make it easier to spot if they did get sold on as originals later on down the line just like the star wars weapons are.

That's sort of what I'm thinking if they were made pure black, rather than the off black of the real ones. If I do view finders I would propose to make them solid, rather than hollowed, so it is easy to spot the difference.

With the support leg I would propose to tap a hole or an indent into the foot somewhere with the Dremmel to make it easy to spot as a repro. As much as I want to help people complete items I hate the idea of repro's being passed on as originals.

Wolverine towrope - that would be neigh on impossible for me!!
ATC missile rack - possibly - I'll look into it. Colour match could be a problem
Swordfish torpedo clip - doable I think -do you mean the grey right angled bit?
Shaft legs - mmmmmmm - fiddly
RFM stand - do you mean the MMS missile control stand thingy???

As well as the always missing...

Battletank minigun
Shadowtrak missile - I would have thought too fiddly, but I may be able to get it to work
Laser Exterminator leg + console - these had crossed my mind - and were on the "to do" list if anyone is interested?
generic black aeriels - again, might be too fiddly
Triad pod boosters

I expect most of us would like more black bazookas too! - I'd not thought of that, but am certain I can pull them off. I'll get onto it. Will need to buy some black dye though, so may be a good few weeks.
Hmmm - I can see I'm going to be kept busy!! I'll see what I can do.
So I'm nobody then, am I? I thought we had something.

You want me to do all of them Baron?? Bloody hell, no rest for the moderately naughty. I'd best crack on...

But, ahhhh, I see - I thought with that post you meant the stubby black aerials, rather than the longer ones.

Joking aside, sorry for any repetition - it's just each one takes quite a bit of work, so I'm trying to guage what would be best to do.
