Russians inside the new terminal. Assumed to be Monday as well.

Been a while since they last graced it with their prescence...

Moscow NGO is quoting 300 RF dead in the last few days. Probably an aggregate of ops over the last week.

Ukraine has more than 1000 KIA since the beginning of the ceasefire in September.

GOTT IM HIMMEL

Seems the unit reduced to combat ineffective status on Sunday was indeed Вымпел

Image

Vympel are the sister unit of the slightly more famous Alpha unit, former KGB SF who hit Kabul in 79. Now both attached to FSB after reporting directly to the president as a praetorian guard post 91.

Overall comparison: similar to losing one or two UK SF squadrons in one attack, or at least having them rendered combat ineffective via losses.

But probably Vympel were the core of a hybrid SF operation. Suggests more conventional units are deployed elsewhere or overstretched or ... untrustworthy.

Seems like a last throw of the dice by the executive.

Back to the bunker it is then.

... perhaps explains why two or three of the FSB's Federal Protection Service Федеральная служба охраны ФСО officers were also liquidated in central Donetsk on Monday or Tuesday by persons unknown.

Operational head shed must have moved out of Moscow to run various ops ... and is now a target for a) undercover UA resistance after being ID'd on Sunday b) targeted by other disaffected units who don't want to be in theatre c) deliberately liquidated to rub out the record of the failure on Sunday.

After all, close to the anniversary not only of Alpha-Vympel hitting Kabul, but also RF Ministry of Interior units blowing up various Russian army troops and generals in Grozny.

And in the rodinya you always liquidate key operatives post- unsuccessful wetwork.

Picture of last weekend's katastroph getting clearer. Seventeen trucks of cargo 200 alone sent back to ... Siberia. Or something.

In the meantime, here are some Ukraine volunteers and Army whiling away the time on the perimeter of the airport at some point in the last days.

:stake: just slabbed his 100th Harry Potter jihadist since landing in theatre at end August, been looking for a more appropriate Yorks reg-type pic whose reference is now lost ... so this will just have to do instead

Remember kids: always park nose out at the end of the parking lot closest to the most overlooked exit from the shopping centre which you DO NOT go to at peak times ... at least until :stake: has finished slabbing this and that hither and thither.

But, if you must, don't forget that if the HPJ's don't have an AK you can blindside them and whatever you do to them thereafter is legal. In theory.
