Hi Jimbo, much appreciated, thanks a lot!!!! Great to see one that is almost perfect AF size - just add on a bergen from the SAS kit pack to the figure and Op Bloodhound is ready to roll! It's a shame they don't pack 'em properly as Alex says. But with some of the figure mods elsewhere on the site replaying Bloodhound is now nearly possible in the real worldjimbo wrote:
I forgot to point it out in my original post as at the time I thought you of all people would appreciate Quickfire with his defining weapon from that classic image in Operation Bloodhound!

Nice patient work. I can remember doing similar stuff with my dad's help back when I was a nipper to effect running AF repairs in the old days with the help of a soldering iron, though not the subjects of these very careful bodges!jimbo wrote:It came with the helicopter. For once the weapons with these playsets are realistically scaled. The only problem with this particular brand is that they are very soft plastic and packaged badly, so both weapons I got were bent badly. I've straightened them a bit, but they really need heating to make them softer and held in position until they are cool to regain their original shape. I might try hot water, although I read somewhere about using a hair-dryer.

You can use an electric fan heater - very carefully - hold the item with some tweezers and heat gently and then place them horizontally on something flat and ceramic and then very gently place another flat ceramic surface on top very slowly - do this on the side of a table so you can watch from the side and see if it's slowly flattening.
Or, if you have more resources, in the same way you can put the item between two flat ceramic objects on a flat surface and heat them - carefully & gently - with something like a paint stripper/small gas field cooker.
Learnt this from "straightening" lego bricks and other plastic toys (younger sibling having left their handiwork in front of electric and gas fireplaces in the first place

Something like this might work, but, anyway, i'm a bit off topic....
