Talk about being all over the place. Well I don't blame you guys, as I have finished reading all the comics and there isn't much to go on . Maybe we need to all get together and write up some just for all these characters. It isn't like there would be much conflict or anything as there is too many missing pieces in there back story.

Baron, what you think? Come up with all that we know and then add to them with a vote or something from the fans? I think there were some wikipedia entries we could expand on. Something to think about.

I'm not sure about adding our own spin to Wikipedia, I think the place for that is more of a fanfic project akin to the Timeline or Memorial projects in the main archives.

Yeah, I think you are right there. Maybe something that jumped out at me from Joes sites is have a character declassified section on here. That way we as fans can add stuff into them to fill in some big gaps in a characters history? Would you be up for something like that?

Cool, now we have to pick the first character to start with and decide on to include the whole changing to Cobra story line or keep it just Red Shadows. And if you want to add in this latest off shoot of Red Shadows with the :major: Major taking over? And/or keeping Ironblood captive or killing him off?

I never really thought about it, as I was reading the comics, but man they sure messed up the story line big time. I'm finding myself at odds with how to include Red Shadows into my Joe world. I had my hands full just trying to figure out how I was going to have AF and Joe around and the conflict in some code names, now taking a step back the big picture looks worse .

Its easier to ignore the Joeverse, Momaw. AF is canon in my book and the Joe's have to fit in.

Chopper,

That might work for AF team, but that still leaves the big problem of Red Shadows. I don't think it's possible to mess it up any more than it has already been. IMO Hasbro couldn't have done a better job of totally screwing up the Red Shadow's Story as much as it has been in the comics. That is saying something, because Hasbro can mess up just about anything. If you want something messed up, all you need to do is have Hasbro run things. I'm really surprised they were able to keep GI Joe running for as long as it has, even know they tried to kill it a few times and almost did. Even the US government doesn't mess up as bad as Hasbro can and does.

Not sure what they messed up? It seems pretty straight forward to me up till 1986. Anything after that doesn't really matter. I haven't read enough MAF to check out that story line but like I said, after that its a parallel universe. ;-)

Palitoy had a pretty linear AF/AM history. Joe's are different.

AF/Shads history is one time line

HAF Joes are another

GI Joe ARAH comics are another

Joe ARAH toons are a fourth.
