Looking @ this reminds me of the Tommy Gunn line Pedigree released & the same time Palitoy first brought out Actionman.
Of course A.M won out in the end :-D , but Tommy's range was 100% British uniforms from the start & very accurate ones too @ that.

I like the look of that U.N. Blue Beret soldier featured on the packaging..looks like he's French, what with that FAMAS Rifle.
Whats the general build quality like T.E.M? the smaller scale horse & rider set I have are a bit fragile, & I still haven't found that Camel :-D

Built quality is very good; puts the few GI Joe Hall of Heroes that I had back in the 90s to shame. Joints are nice and stiff and has no problem holding poses or standing un-aided. That they can do this for the price is amazing - I only paid £10 for this large set; granted, it was reduced from £25, but most of the standard range (ie without all the big accessories, like rocket launchers, tents etc.) are only £12.99. The really basic figures - that come in a black t-shirt with an M16 and some small accessories like clips and grenades etc. - are currently being knocked out on ebay on BIN for only £6.99! These would make great bases for kit bashes, using some outfits and accessories from Dragon, BBI etc.

I also noticed the UN figure, but sadly couldn't find that for sale anywhere : ( I really would like that one and also the Arctic soldier.

I would certainly get a few more of these, and I honestly think you could put these side by side with the likes of Dragon (which I have also owned in the past) and they wouldn't look out of place.

At the price you can pick these up for they get five stars and two thumbs up from me!

Did you not get on then? I agree about Desert Storm, that was one of the first things that came to mind when it arrived :-) .

I still prefer Action Man tho.
Oh yeah, he will never replace my AM (no comparison), but I reckon they're a great way to build up your troops!

I've just been checking out Tommy Gunn on the net and I see where you're coming from! They looked like a quality figure, it's a shame they weren't more successful.

Hi this it the best info I could find
http://www.toycollector.com/index.php?o ... Itemid=157

I think it's the barbed wire & missile launcher, some thing to do with the colour of the plastic...plus the cross frame & wire itself even looks the same as the old Pedigree toys version.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm thinking about getting one of the BBI equipment packs to kit him out with.
