what i meant was: sometimes teh pages load and there's no snow. top or bottom. sometimes there is snow and it's falling. some times there's snow and it's stopped mid-fall. which is what it did when i posted earlier.

now, i've got no snow.

I don't know what else I can do. Rooting out and incorporating the "Stop Snowing" button was a bloody masterpiece of reverse engineering if I do say so myself.
