Except that white is the problem and the reason we are having this discussion...

I've just tried a new site background, please have a link through the archives and let me know what you think (it is now the same shade as the forum)

think it might be peoples eyes that are the problem, coz it's clear mate, easy to read!

Yeah. it is entirely that, Ross. Specifically, elderly and dyslexic people have both told me the same thing.

you reversed the colours of the background? well, it does make reading the text better, but i found the logos slightly distracting...

Yeah, apparently the problem is the same for white, blue or gold - making the poll redundant. It's because they are high-contrast.

I'll try making the black logos grey...
