The 90's were quite silly for GI Joe I'm reading that era of the comic with day-glo uniforms and vehicles it's cringeworthy

this is what i mean, after 88' bar a few exceptions it all goes a bit wrong and loses it's realism so to speak, which is why i'm not to keen.

ah, so rather than an actual calender distinction, you're using a subjective one. gotcha.
that may sound like i'm being an ass, but i'm just making sure i know where you're coming from.

Well, I prefer to have my "neon" Eco-Warrior Flint than not having any Flint, but I also prefer the more "normal" colors. The 80s Joes were about camouflage. The 90s Joes were about blinding their enemies with a rainbow.

There is nothing wrong with that DA my first Roadblock and Rock N' Roll were Star Brigade ones also because my first destro was stolen my first one was the Star Brigade version who I now use as my Red Jackal. I just think considering what the Joes started as they really did change too much a decade later which led to poor sales and their eventual cancellation for a few years.

Yes, the TV series' plots also devolved during that time (though that was due to the animation studio change from Sunbow to DiC), with some notable exceptions (Operation Dragonfire, The Greatest Evil and a few others).
On the other hand, I also have began to repurpose a

as

; in my case, it was the un-caped Iron Grenadier

. Since I got the caped version. I knew I had to repurpose the un-caped one (at first I thought on Alexander, but I'm planning to buy the "pimp"

for that role

). About the other two (caped and 25 ann, also caped), is better to keep both as

; the 25 ann one stands better, while the 80s one is better to drive vehicles. Therefore, each is useful for different scenes.

I have a bad Valor vs Venom Destro for Alexander he is so small compared to the 25th Gold masked Destro

It would be funny seeing Alexander fighting Falcon, Heavy Duty and Kamakura. That would be a sort of "Battle of the successors".
