Potato mashers and loose 7.62 in a Wehrmacht canister are not much use if the Shadowtrak had been taken out by a sleeping policeman. Or something more kinetic.

But then there were other things to worry about like actually managing to use his weapon system in a meaningful fashion beyond demonstrating the universality of Newtonian physics.
