Excellent custom Muton, and not just well thought but well put together too. Why are you using masking tape? It's better to use just hand work for the stripes. The logo is astonishingly well done and is better than a transfer.

Leeds would have been easier! If the Desert Rats were common then it would be nice to do a series of footballers, but unfortunately there's a few of us all looking for Desert Rat legs at the moment!
Babyjelly, I don't think I could do the stripes very well by hand, where I think I went wrong was by doing 3 or 4 coats per stripe!

I love this custom, Muton. Very well done indeed. It truly captures the essence of Palitoy, and of
Action Force; Action Man in Miniature!
If a miracle happened, and somehow
AF came back, this is a figure I'd love to see for sale in the shops!
It seems like Hasbro is never going to use the original Palitoy characters or concepts of
Action Force ever again.... I wonder if they'd like to sell (or donate! Yeah, right...) the concept to bftb.com...? Just the original Palitoys, ya know?

Nice custom! I use Humbrol Enamels with thinner but generally avoid gloss. You can buff satins or matts to a factory finished with a bit of sanding and cloth.
Btw. My girlfriend is from Blyth and I own a Spartans top!

That is awesome work, a very creative use of parts.

Looking good, though I'd always use matt or satin paints with a satin varnish to give a slightly more original feel (in my opinion). It's often the case that paint creeps under any sort of masking, so touching up is usually necessary. Looking forward to the 'proper' custom you mention.

I like this alot! Well done. I don't use the gloss at all. I always go for the satin or matt with a varnish. There's usually alot more choice on ebay also the humbrol acrylic alternatives with the same shades as the enamels.
