You mean: Arctic Assault, Ground Assault, Underwater Assault and Missle Assault? I thought they were pretty shite.....

Especially the lavender/purple Missle Assault set....

Arctic and Ground assault suited the :AFLogo: mini figures better. Saying that its always bugged me how SHITE Naval Assault was, especially his equipment: grappling hook WITHOUT sodding rope, a machete, ammo box and sten gun.....Its like the factory simply shoved crap into the packet....

The 40th repro stuffs hit and miss. There have been typos on the packaging, i.e. the last wave 14 Stormtrooper packet is named 'STORMTROOTER'.....durrrrrrrrrrrrrr. There have also been wrongly packaged dolls i.e. the wrong era types, flocked hair coming off, cracked limbs, broken joints, hands that melt weaponry due to the rubber composites used in the manufacturing process, the talkers are pure c--ting crap, the voices are muffled, the eagle eye talker doesn't say the correct 5 phrases instead they've reused the older talkers commands....then theres the pull cord on the talkers being prone to breaking off.....or not winding back in....

Lastly, the eagle eye dolls are too sodding bug eyed and their hands are practically like rock and not flexible.....

Alan Hall at Modellers Loft for all the good he's done by making the repro range under licence from Hasbro really has done a crap job. The waves and quality of items is so varying. Compared to the Palitoy originals they lack the same quality and are on the whole flimsier....The prices were good on Halls stuff but the quality overall was sh*t in my view....and Alan Halls a really arrogant c*nt....

Well, I am a collector of the stuff and as much as I like it its not a patch on the originals....ALL HAIL PALITOY COALVILLE LEICS!

AT least he wasn't called Stormrooter, lol. The Arctic guy I'm thinking of had a green cap. All I have left from that uniform is the cap :(

I also liked the Space Ranger. Cool looking figure. Must get AM out. Oh and Toltoys was best ;)

I keep going on to the modellers loft web site sitting here saying will I won't I........ Resistance is futile.... I'll end up buying something by the end of the weekend. Even my mum is egging me on to buy!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

If I wasn't buying AF atm, I'd be onto a SAS outfit for my ole Toltoys guy. I picked up a 70's Jungle outfit a couple of months back for $3au, was pretty happy about that ;) I still think AM was awesome. I used to dig trenches on the farm and my 2 guys would battle it out. My original pre-eagle-eyed guy usually got the DUKW and won ;)

Just done it!!!!!!!! SAS Para attack set and a talking Commander on the way to Bonny Dundee! It's started.......... It got the SAS one as I sold my Original one about ten years ago when I was skint along with some other AM stuff for £60. Regretted it every minute since then.

Ha! Excellent. Well done Paul!

It started with me about 3 weeks ago - the talking commander figure - and it's rapidly snowballing:

I just love the 'little and large' stood side by side!

Gonna go easy with them as I don't have a lot of storage space just now! Also the boss doesn't know about this latest little spend. I'm hoping the Links of London valentines gift might distract her! Look something shiny.........
