OK, so we have the traditional BAF era ones;

VAMP - Panther / Night Attack
HAL - Laser Exterminator
FLAK - Attack Cannon
PACRAT - Dart / Lance / Shaft
MOBAT - Battletank
APC - ATC
RAM - Rapid Fire Motorcycle
Wolverine
Command Centre
HISS - Hyena
Escape armour (Shad and Cobra)
FANG - Hawk / FANG
CLAW
Sharc - Flying Sub
Killer WHALE - Hovercraft
ASP
Water Moccasin
Swamp Skier

And now the MAF era ones;

Rolling Thunder
HAVOK
SLAM

Would that be correct? I noticed there were no pics of AF PACRAT's Baron. Are they rare?

I'm not sure, but I doubt it. I only go for Shadow-era myself but I expect they were the same as the Z Force ones.

There's also the MMS, and I think Leviathan's backpack is recoloured and taken from the JUMP, I suppose there will be recoloured accessories galore.

Are the CLAW, Sharc, Killer WHALE, ASP, Water Moccasin and Swamp Skier different then?

MMS will be added to the list then, missed that one. Yeah, there are quite a few re-coloured accessories, like Flash's laser gun etc used with Space Force. Uzi's, I think even Skips SLR was a Ripcord re-colour. sh*t, this is getting even further out of hand ;)

Not sure, physically I don't think so. The stickers and packaging definitely. Were there any variants made in the UK at all? There's also the Tiger Force stuff from the early 90's too. Sigh.

Well let's just focus on getting the archives together, the list of variants is more of a forum discussion anyway and should be self explanatory onceit's up - all of the existing Toy Archives already mention their relevant GI Joe origins.

There is also the Whirlwind....and the Wolverine has both the black SAS version and the bright green version that came with Ton-Up. So far, that's the only one that I am aware of that has two european variants.

Also, I think it's been mentioned, but the Tiger Sting was released with the VAMP Mk II mold in the UK, while in the US, they used the Stinger mold.

Actually that's not true Dan. The US version used the Vamp Mk1 with the Mk2's missile launcher. The variant UK version is the Stinger body with the Mk2 accessories. So the engine part on the hood is replaced with the bag, and the bar on the tail end is replaced by the gas cans. Which is why they are so far apart on the UK version.

Whoops. If anyone would know it would be you, Roger. I don't know where I got my explanation, but thanks for setting the record straight. I have never even seen one in person, so I guess I was going off of something I had read or maybe I just got my wires crossed.....

The gold parts on Iron Grenadiers D.E.M.O.N.S and Destro's Despoiler can also vary, I've seen UK ones with lighter gold parts and US ones with much much darker gold parts. Closer to bronze on some....The DEMON I'm planning on selling has such a variance compared to the one I want to keep.

I don't know that the DEMON variant is necessarily a UK exclusive....I know that the DEMON and Destro's Despoiler were each available in the US with either metallic gold and flat gold parts. I have both versions of the Despoiler and have seen both DEMONs, though I only have one.
