im happy with the humbrol satin green (please no one find a better match with the amount of customs I have on the go using it!). Depending on what I match it against it can be a really good match (nr perfect?) like my ex mib quarrel.

I usually put an olive green then light black wash over them to darken / weather them a bit and they are a much better match for my apcs and battle tanks then.

I usually use "blood red" which is a little too light, however I have just purchased a pot of "red gore" which I think maybe slightly too dark, although I havent used it on a shadow yet.

I would have to disagree with the application .... I find these paints far superior to humbrol, in fact once i started using these I binned most of my humbrol pots !

they are water based paints and seem to apply very smoothly ( except for the white ) and when the paint dries ( in about 10 minutes) it is waterproof !
I may be doing it completely wrong after being used to enamels. It just doesnt tend to cover well on the first coat then looks a bit streaky / ridgy. I find the enamels cover better from the first coat and then even out well. Any tips with the acrylics would be appreciated as there are some really good colours.

Yeah, I loved some of his Z Force customs, they got me back into customising but I wasnt too keen on some of th Q Force but thats just my opinion.

ok that is a valid point ...... I do find I have to apply 2 coats at least, except for the black.

I think I was up to my third coat on a kraken I was experimenting with but it still looked a bit dodgy, I think I was probably being a bit crap as usual.

the "skull white" is a bit rubbish ! I use it as undercoat and other colours seem to apply better on top of it. but as a colour, it is difficult to get a nice finish with.

other than that though I still prefer these paints to any others I have used in the past.

There's a whole set of paints in Modelzone, they come in bottles like eye droppers. Anyway they have a foundation white which, when mixed with skull white, gives better coverage. However on my 13th scale figures eyes I use it for the light reflection - it's a nice paint to use. I don't like much of the other paints in that range, but the foundation white is a must!

What figure is that it looks a bit like the Star Wars General Madine from the original run?

you must have been away for a while ?

the figure in the bag is an original action force prototype that has recently been discovered
( and we all got excited about it last week)

The figure is codenamed "boffin" and is marked as "Special weapons F. scientist (Boffin)"

we have been trying to decide where he fits into the action force line.
