When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

ok lads, calm down...
the tank was his purchase, so not a suprise, he doesn't post here but does read the forum on his phone (i'm lucky enough to have a job where i can surf the net when i'm not busy, but at home we only have net access from our phones so it's slow and awkward) he isn't a member yet but will probably be so soon, and the trophies were for hanging baskets. Sorted!

Hanging baskets!!!! Fantastic!!! Although it ruins my idea I was about to suggest that we all had three guesses what they were for, and the winner got, well, some sort of trophy (from Timpsons, when I get round to getting my shoes fixed).
Let just pretend you've not told us Annie, and go ahead with it anyway.
For my first guess - were they for Hanging baskets?

Maybe if you had a worn out pair of shoes shaped like a giant novelty key and you took them in...

Um... your trophies were to put into hanging baskets, or for winning? Either way I'm perturbed.
Re: Battletank Arrived!
And BFTB gets ever weirder, as I now have a bizarre image of lots of hanging baskets with trophy plants growing in them! Perhaps that's where Trophy Wives come from? They grow on plants in hanging baskets.
Is that the time????? TAxi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baron, the trophies were for winning various categories in a hanging basket competition - BUT, it was not me who won them, well kind of not. Anyway, suffice to say I was doing the old trick of "picking up on behalf of X who can't be here tonight".
SteveD - however did you guess that they were for hanging baskets?
