cool, i'm copying this. i have a soldier force fig with a similar coat but felt the shad head was slightly too small for the body but this looks amazing

blooming norma this is top dog impressed understatement i feel the sales of ww2 figures to go up for this custom to be mimiced up and down the country

sweet custom, very menacing. Is there a difference in the paints that you would use for the palitoy AF figures and the Hasbro GI Joes? Do you use an undercoat or anything in particular to finish with? I'm itching to try my hand at this after seeing all these great jobs!

I'm a newcomer so have just followed the tips on here! I doubt you'd need to use different types of paint on Palitoy and Hasbro figures though.
I undercoated this in white to get a real nice bright finish.
Here's a quick picture of the Shadow with his rifle.

Thanks for all the positive comments! It was a very satisfyng moment when I pulled the Germans head off and found the Shadow head fit perfectly!
But I must thank the Baron for his very useful advice regarding Plastikote paint. The colour is perfect!
