What sales are people going to? Can anyone recommend any? I'm in the Oxford area and would be willing to travel an hour or two by car if people thought the sale was worth it...

When I was younger my parents used to take me to a HUGE one in Newbury, that was a few years ago now and to be honest I haven't really seen one half as good since...maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places :P heh.

I persevere though, don't get me wrong but it'd just be nice to find something other than food-poisoning, over-priced DVDs and and people with BO :D

I'm obsessed with car boot sales as some of you know. The James Bone Car Boot in Ayelsbury is quite good. There's one in West Wycombe that has produced a few goodies, I got my AT AT for £5 there. On Sunday there is a big one in Taplow.

Don't look for any GI Joe or vintage Star Wars until I've gone home though!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Deal...we'll have to alternate ;)

I'd like to hit some more bigger sales but I'd definately not want to step on anyones toes...after all we're a minority, the board seems like a real good crowd and we gotta stick together :D

I often find better items @ the smaller boot sales, you know the sort of "once a month" or "run for local charity" kind..the bigger regular car boots around my area tend to have more semi-pro dealers who charge an arm & a leg for stuff, in fact I've often seen said people shopping around for items, before the sales start & selling on @ a huge mark-up on the same day.

I often see "regulars" @ boot sales..asking new sellers "Have you got..?" before they get out of the vehicle & have unpacked the car!!

Can you post a picture of yourself so I can have a sniper trained on you at the car boot sales!! ;-)

Only joking! I've got into the habit of picking up anything that looks interesting to be honest. Chances are someone on hear will want it for a custom!

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Now comes the fun part of sorting them all out! Wonderful! I on the other hand scored.....small. Only a few toss figures today. Nice condition Darklon though. I also got another AF diver. Picture to follow. Well done on the family scoop today though!
