Great topic! I love both Action Man and Action Force!
And yes, there is a 1 to 1 correspondence for most of them!

A few years ago I put together some display cases (based on the basic look of the back of the original Action Force cardback) - And I put the figures in the same order as they are on the back of the cards (for case # 1).

Here's a pic:

All the outfits are 100% vintage Action Man - (except the pilot which is a set cobbled together from both Action Man and GI Joe).

I hope you like them! These correspondences form the anchor of the work I am doing on Action Man and Action Force.

Take care,
Aire

Oh wow! They're definitely going into the Customs section! Is that Q Force I spy in a box as well?

Jaw-dropping!

Baron, hi thanks! The cases I did indeed custom build, but the figures and outfits on the shelves (except the pilot in red) none of them are customs... they are original vintage Palitoy Action Man.

The SAS picture shows all the vintage SAS variations of the Action Man line (No customs). (The Eagle Eye with the beard is an Australian Action Man figure, all the other figures are UK).

I have been meaning to do a picture with Action Man SAS and Action Force SAS together in one big scene... I have it constructed in my head, now I just have to get off my duff and put it together :-)

Yes, :-) there is a glimpse of Q Force, there :-)

I'm glad you enjoy them!
Take care,
Aire

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!

That is just incredible!

Aire, how can you have such an amazing collection like that and not show it off? Its superb!

I am SO glad that you've posted these photos. Can we have one of the Q Force side as well please? And maybe one of the whole thing in all its beauty?

Your collection is trully breath-taking!

I don't know much about Action Man, except that its far more collectable than our minature little friends. Aren't some of those Action Men £400 to £500 quid each?

It is just amazing. I congratulate you. Thanks again for sharing

Thanks so much!

It means a lot to me that on a 3 3/4" board like this, these 12" figures are nonetheless appreciated! Very cool!

Paul, thanks for your kind words! I love sharing pictures of stuff I have gathered over the past few years... but I am also torn between posting pictures or "saving" stuff for my book's release (so that the book will have some "punch" to it when it is finally published...)

I try to reach a happy medium, but I know I don't succeed... I will try to do better!
(Sometimes I wish I would just abandon the idea of finishing the book! Life would be a lot easier!!!)

For those of you who enjoy pictures of 12" figures, here are some that I posted on an Action Man site about a year ago.

[The thread was started by a guy I didn't know at the time - He found some of my pictures on a French Action Joe site and posted them at the beginning of the thread. He then emailed me about it and we had a good chat - Very friendly guy and it I was very happy to have been introduced to the Action Man site - so all was well!! (He has since removed the pictures he posted - probably for space reasons)]

Aire - these are quite simply amazing! Inspired to do the display cases as a mock up of the card backs! Make my cabinets from Argos look a bit of a half assed effort!

On the strength of these pics alone put me down as pre-order for the book - whenever it might be ready!

Obviously, Aire, please DON'T abandon the book idea! There's many here that would dearly love to see it. Plus all the GI Joe and Action Man collectors out there, there's pleanty of them books to be shifted!

Which makes me ask where abouts you are with it?

Do you have any idea of a timeframe for its completion or publication?

Are you holding out waiting to find any particular item or complete a certain line/wave?

I know these dates rarely materialise, but it would be great to have a rough ETA?
