Yay! So is the green one the same dimensions? Is it definitely a variant?

The green one is about twice the size, so probably not
Green just about fits in the cockpit, but as said, probably just a handy
replacement that was about at the time.

Perhaps I can help a little with the info I have. I own over 20 boxed Skystrikers (it was one of the first sub specialties I concentrated on), of which about 5 are from the UK.

The US and Canada parachutes are like the one pictured above (in Scoobydie's post).
The first transition UK Skystriker came with an all blue (light blue) parachute.
The second UK Skystriker (and all the European Skystrikers) came with a larger green camo parachute.

The first 2 Skystrikers in the picture below shows the 2 UK release Skystrikers and their parachutes.


I suppose there is always the possibility that some of the parachutes made for the US and Canada markets made it into the UK and European boxes... but in the many years that I have been studying Skystrikers, I have not seen it.

Every time I have opened a brand new European or UK Skystriker, it has always come with the green parachute.
