Once more, thank you for making me feel welcome.

To The Baron, thanks for the offer of a custom logo... I'll try to think of something (hopefully not too complicated!) and let you know.

And to Eye of Agamotto, you may already know this but one of the earliest Q Force characters was a Welshman, a Sealion Helmsman named Dolphin. They released a Palitoy version of him, and later a multi-jointed Hasbro version, if I remember correctly.

Which reminds me, have any of you got the old Action Force audio story cassette tapes? I've got one where poor old Dolphin complains in his broad Cardiff accent about having to steer his Sealion through a London Sewer! Eagle replies "You've been in worse places."

Does anyone know how many different cassette stories they did, please?

Also, does anyone have any stories of oddly packaged Action Force toys? For example, my older brother had the Shadowtrak... including a multi-jointed Rader LAZER figure, not Red VULTURE! And as I mentioned, my Space Commander was actually a German WATT Himmelsstürmer figure in a UK packet. ( http://toyarchive.de/att/watt/himmelsstuermer.htm ). Of course at the time I had no idea what WATT meant. Because of the dagger logo I thought it was something to do with SAS Force! He didn't have any accessories, no hat or gun, and was being sold in a discount-sale along with many other Action Force oddities... our first clue that Palitoy were shifting old stock to make room for the new incoming Hasbro figures.

As for the hat and gun, I'm after spares if anyone has them! No luck on ebay I'm afraid.

There are three storytapes online in the Toy Archive; The Baron's Revenge, Operation Liberty and Operation Shutdown. http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/afonlin ... tapes.html

We are sporadically transcribing The Baron's Revenge here: http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/phpBB2/ ... =24&t=1184 Operation Liberty was made into a comic strip for the 1986 Annual http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/Blood/Liberty.html

There are loads of variations out there, due to the change to GI Joe toys, surplus stock was just thrown together any which way.

As for the missing Space Force Commander accessories, your best bet would be to track down a Space Force Battle Gear pack. They often show up on eBay.

Yep! That's the ticket! Cheers, Baron.

Jamar and Agamotto... did you chaps ever manage to read Battle Action Force? They were good old-fashion British comics printed on newspaper.... Ah, they just don't make 'em like that anymore. And all the characters were international.

First off, thanks for the heads up on Dolphin, Space Commander. I didn't know he was a Welshman.

Battle Action Force is awesome! I actually am enjoying it much more than the GI Joe comics. Much more gritty! And you too can enjoy these stories all over again right here on BFTB. There are a ton of the BAF stories posted here in the forum, and thanks to Jamarmiller and a good number of other folks here, you can have your own collection in book format:

http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/phpBB2/ ... =29&t=1652

Although b&w is the original format, these stories are great in full blown color!
LET'S GET EXTREME!!!

Hell ya! they are good and they definately dont make them like that anymore! I love these issues too, they add
so much to the whole mythos/universe both pre-cobra years with the RED SHADOWS ( who by the way
was brought back by the American Comic Book Company Devils Due who does GI JOE, Pick these issues
up if you dont have them as youll be smiling to see the red shadows group back, --they also
cameoed quarrel Hunter, Moondancer and Blades in issue 30 too so you might want to track that
down along with the red shadow TPB ) and post cobra years.

The stories offer insight into a number of characters we never got

you got to check out the coloring section of the boards in the creativity part! we been releasing a colored
chapter /episode every week for the last ( little over ) year!

we doing bloodhound right now !

Unless I'm misreading that, you've yet to discover the comic archive section of the site.

http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/Blood/index.html

Every single Action Force comic is online as both thumbnail galleries and downloads. Click on the arrow in the top right corner for the Marvel UK strips.

Hello again, (sorry, I did mention my visits might be a bit sparse!),

Yep, I saw the online comics, in fact that was one of the deciding factors in my signing-up!

I just wondered if any of our neighbours across the Atlantic had actually physically got hold of any copies. They're quite a bit different from American comics (of which I have many!).

By the way Jamar... I followed your suggestion on youtube and found a certain "Battle Action Force" related book! Please "pm" me the details...

I've spoken to Arctic Assault. I'll see if I can get him to sign-up.

Take care!

I know Seaneley collected a complete set, but it must have cost an arm and a leg in shipping.

Crikey, I notice there are 259 users (so far) on this site. We could have quite a gathering... if we weren't spread quite so far around the globe that is! But then again, the whole point of Action Force was that it was an international team... just like we fans!
