Re: Is the Kraken cool?
I always wondered since "his nibs" transformed into Cobra Commander whatever happened to all The Krakens
and Mutons
for that matter ..it may make a good story someday that and Red Wolf
betraying The Red Shadow
cause and working for Cobra
..that's something that's never been explored either

Re: Is the Kraken cool?
Yeah I've been meaning to do a retcon story for ages now, something that involves Red Wolf and Moondancer being lost in space during a battle and missing the whole World Enemy story, then returning and joining up with the new teams. Would be nice to squeeze in Dolphin somehow too, but I could easily wipe out some of the other characters in the process.

I've actually grown to love the Kraken even more since reading (re-reading) the cool comic story that introduced him ("it"?... "them"?) on this very site. It made a potentially laughable enemy far more threatening.

Re: Is the Kraken cool?
I think The Kraken
stories a pretty credible tale(The Baron
made a very cool Red Shadow
...seemed to move around in Boba Fettish manner lol) As for your story Baron sounds like a good plot , Perhaps Wolf
and Moondancer
have a Dog Fight in space and both go MIA .. sounds like an epic in the making
We hardly get a glimpse of what Q Force
and Space Force
were up to in World Enemy #1 except a few frames of them watching Japanese Marines mop up Red Shadows ..(does Japan have an army?Thought McArthur saw to that? lol ) perhaps Krakens
could be involved here (we never got to see them clash with Q Force in comic I always figured they were the natural nemesis of The Kraken.

I think anything with the
logo is quite cool.
It's an interesting figure too, as someone must have proposed it as an absolutely new design, as opposed to a repaint.

Re: Is the Kraken cool?
Ich bin ganz doll fkn bored of this debate. The Kraken was genius back when muppetry was but a glint in the tired imaginations of non-Coalville denizens.
Below the thunders of the upper deep;
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides: above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous grot and secret cell
Unnumbered and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the slumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages and will lie
Battening upon huge sea-worms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

Incidentally Kraken would have looked a lot better with his mouth closed (the figure that is). He looks a bit gormless. Maybe someone with a Dremel could fix that, or perhaps fill his mouth with scary teeth?
