Top stuff Hop. The stuff sent to the PO Box address would probably have been held at the sorting office until an Action Force agent was dispatched to collect it and take it back to the real HQ which could have been anywhere in Erdington.

Thaks fellas - yeah, I love exploring the nooks and crannies of Action Force history! And anything to avoid a second coat of magnolia paint!

In a good way or a bad way?

Bloody brilliant! Maybe we can locate the man responsible for pulling the plug on Action Force? And all turn up at his house?

I love it
"Hello, 999 police service, how can I help you?"
"Hi, yeah... er what looks like a small bunch of angry, forty-something, slightly geeky blokes, armed with pitchforks and flaming torches, have just arrived outside my house. They seem to be chanting 'Blood for the Baron, Blood for the Baron'..."
We could burn Duke in effigy!

LOL!
I'm on it - vengeance shall be ours...
But first I've got the gardening to do, and my back hurts. We'll need to find a baby sitter, and I've got work on Monday morning.
Getting older sucks.
In other news, I contacted Munro-Deighton's old office in Newman Street to see if anything remains of the glory days.
Alas, not. A very helpful chap regretfully told me that they have been there 14 years, and before that it was offices, and that there remains nothing of the Action Force connection. Oh well, worth a try.
He did say that a few years ago someone sent in a toy competition entry cut out from a magazine!
Which one of you buggers was it?

Interestingly, a competition dated 12/11/1983 asked for entries to be sent to:
Battle Action Force Competition.
55 Ewer Street,
London
SE99 6YP
It is unclear why the competition was sent here, instead of Newman Street, but it seems the address was connected to IPC Magazines ltd, publishers of BAF, as a number of other magazines and comics (including NME and Big K computer magazine) had their competition entries sent there.
I couldn't find a good shot of it, and there is a modern building occupying the position now, anyway (actually an art framers and gallery called Dyson Art).
