Thought you'd like it. It is going straight to the pool room.
Action Force got a mention in, ROM too.

You did know there was an Action Man comic coming out soon? ROM is, of course, based on the ROM of old. The Action Man figure. ROM has an Action Man story in it to launch the two new series.

Action Force is awesome
Wow, this is brilliant, thank you for sharing!! I knew there was a new comic coming, but I always thought ROM was a Marvel Comics character! Also great to see the distinctions between Palitoy and Hasbro Action Force being accurately presented!

Yeah, I thought he did a pretty good job of describing Action Man. Here is ROM in Palitoy boxiness;

ROM was originally a toy released by Parker Brothers in the USA. Palitoy thought he'd be a great addition for the Action Man Space Rangers range so licensed the figure from Parker Bros.

I go on E-bay to look for FCBD issues but I object to paying £17.99 for the 2000AD comic when it was free in stores on FCBD Day

£17.99!!? Fuuuuuuuuck that.
I've just read ROM #0 / Action Man.
ROM was okay, could develop in to an interesting read, could just be him eliminating Dire Wraiths every week.
Action Man was pretty good. Interesting to see Dr. X and the X-Robots in there, I thought they'd have nothing to do with this incarnation of AM. Killing off ninties / noughties Action Man was a nice way to "reboot" things. Having read the comic and the introduction it's hard to reconcile the 2 at this point, how do they go back to the 60s - 80s idea of Action Man yet keep Dr. X etc. in it? I'll definitely be picking up issue #1 to see what happens though.
If the writer is a fan of Action Force maybe we'll see a few cameos in later issues? IDW has the Joe license so there's no reason for it not to happen...

It was stated in the comic Action Man and Action Force are separate continuities but you never know they may still give us Natalie Poole etc
