I'd re-spray them both... Why not! Also how about doing a little customising to the Shadow Trak too... Maybe turn it into a Gibli desert scout vehicle as in the BAF "Desert Strike" story....

I am thinking about getting a shadowtrak and doing one the tricky part will be getting one with at least the windshield and all the wheels intact

That is a f*cking good idea. I like it. I wonder if it would be better to use an AF5 though? They may not have been red. I have yet to nab an AF5 so that won't happen for a bit. However, why not pink it up like the pink panther? Or tan.

Yep, I'd agree with The Baron there... I reckon a more standard desert tan colour scheme might look better (Though the pink panther look might work if you're going all out by highlighting and weathering it!).

Do you reckon you'll go the whole hog and scratch build those raised sidings and sand ladders, plus that rear roll bar?... Could be a really lovely yet simple custom job you've got in the making here!

I think it could be done from scratch. Roll bar would be tricky, the jeep is pretty much a Z jeep in red. I think I'd have to stick to red. I could customise some Indy figures for gibli, that and modified LRDG series 1 chaps.

I'll have to see if there is a way to use sprues to attach the ladders on the side too. Hmmmmm

If you removed those twin burst engines off the back end of the shadowtrak, you could then make new raised sidings out of styrene sheeting that encases the whole rear section, almost as one large slot-on piece... that roll bar could also be made from styrene sheet material too, in one long piece thats heated up and bent to form those 90 degree angles.

Damn!... I want a shadowtrak now so I can make one!
