The Baron wrote:Fair point. So aside from Destro, are there many distinctly different characters? I don't mean the origin but the charcters themselves. Storm Shadow seems pretty much as malevolent on both sides of the pond, and Zartan is just as menacing. As I recall Major Bludd was a bit more cowardly in the US comic while Firefly was a bit less mysterious. Are Duke, Scarlett, Gung-Ho et al fairly accurate to their established counterparts?
to be honest , IMVHO, everyone acts the same, including destro, No one acts out of the character that is established in the US.

the origins of Cobra Commander and destro are different but that is all.

if you would either elimiate the origin issue or retcon it somehow or stop the story when Baron Iron Blood leaves and begin the story as a whole new story but skipping the next chapter (that bridges the two and explains the transistion) then it would work

but ya I think eveyone fits in nicely with thier US storier experiences

whats great about this is ,all the people who actually get orign issues in the BAF series never got origin issues in the US and they all can fit too

Flash
Gung Ho
Duke
Baroness
Major Bludd

now thinking of it though the story where flash recondo and the other joe that is in snake bite that story would need some serious retconning as that is thier first mission or at least appears to be but that story and World Enemy is the only glaring problems

oh I should also mention the one STORM SHADOW origin issue

obviously this would never work for TOMMY ARASHIKAGE

so you have two choices

1. either make a BAD ninja guy take the SS name and be a second COBRA SS

or

2. Make it Sei-Tins Origin instead

personally both ideas would be cool as I would love to know more about seit tin but I would also love to see a bad SS vs the good SS battle

aha! also found this :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retcon
Retroactive continuity or retcon is the deliberate changing of previously established facts in a work of serial fiction. The change itself is referred to as a "retcon", and the act of writing and publishing a retcon is called "retconning"
I've learn't something today!
