I'm still trying to figure out if this came with the fanclub or not, I cannot find any adverts for it anywhere.

Definitely got my copy with the fanclub materials. Having said that, I did have to wait longer than expected for them to arrive after applying in the summer and by the time they did 2.2 had already dropped in the shops, the post arrived in the dark one morning later in 1984 so it was October or November.
