On the toy/real life military vehicle front...do you think the BAE Systems design team played with Matchbox toys or were fans of Joe 90 when they were kids?

Nice catch, probably they were. If you look at the next gen of UK Land Forces' vehicles, they are all called stuff like Foxhound and Ocelot: no coincidence if you've ever played MGS3 or 4.
