Re: Which Paint?
Ive always had a very hard time with the finish on the satin black so use Plastikote matt black - on shad stuff. Not done any SAS things yet though imagine ill use the same colour..

These paints you are talking about are they the ones in the little metal tins you get in modelling shops?

Re: Which Paint?
I usually use humbol satin enamels skyline as they are hard wearing and go on very easily. I try to avoid using gloss as it takes twice as long to dry and every piece of dust floating around sticks to it. personally try to avoid gw paints as I find they rub off far too easily.
once painted with two coats i use humbrol satincote thinned down with a capful of white spirit per bottle of satincote to give it an added layer of protection to enable me to pose the figures with no risk of paintwear. if I dont thin the satincote i find its too gloopy and dries before it can be worked in properly... another advantage to this is that if using gloss paint the satincote gives it a nice satin finish which is a great match to official releases.
the other paints I use are plastikote sprays from b&q. again I use satin rather than gloss as this goes on much easier and doesnt crack if you overspray. also use humbrolsatinkote on top of this to give it some added @toughtness@ for moving around etc.

Re: Which Paint?
Can anyone suggest a good match for Q-Force yellow fro figures (i.e. in a pot rather than spray)?
Re: Which Paint?
It's prolly been asked loads of times before: what are the best matches for Z green & orange?
