I'd reckon that would have been the natural evolution of the SWS figure too, Andy. Love this chap. As far as Palitoy figures with vehicles, all of the AF Hasbro vehicles had different drivers that their Joe counterparts so this would work perfectly and IIRC, all the Palitoy wheeled vehicles (bar series one) had drivers too. Only the artillery and support pieces didn't have drivers, oh and the APC which was pretty much a storage box anyway and even the Joe one was devoid of a driver.

I suppose the MMS wouldn't have had a figure going by their track record but if SWS is anything to go by, it would have been more than likely an idea that Palitoy would have thought up. Well done again, Andy. love it.

Sublime mate. Totally perfect as what would or should have been. I have a shagged up Red Laser that I am still comtemplating what to do with.

Andy,
If you are working on a name for your SAS guy, I would suggest going with something to do with the MMS or missile launcher in general. It's seems that most of the AF guys code names were of a special skill or what they specialized in. At least that is waht I get from reading the comics ;-). Maybe something like Guidance, Wire-guidance, or you get the picture .

I think that getting the Simpsons comic book guy figure would be perfect for the custom of Grimlock. Who uses a toys name anyway! OOps now I am buggered!

No, not me Andy. I did do a couple of Z Force versions, but not an SAS. Although I do have a very similar idea at the painters right now actually. A SAS repainted Tripwire with 'regular' head and a yellow hat and visor, so kind of along similar lines. Great minds....

Anyway, lovely custom. Very Palitoy-looking which I obviously approve of!

Good work fella.
