FINAL Updated WIP Scimitar CVR(T) Photos

Post by steel bonnet »

Hey all,

Well as you my know from Louie`s Fantastic custom CVR(T) he made.
We`ve been working in conjunction & as he said bouncing ideas (well me moreso asking,as he`s ex-Army crew to one of these beasties).

So without further ado here`s a few WIP of mine (photos via a friend).

http://www.ofoto.co.uk/PhotoView.jsp?&c ... 9471494733

http://www.ofoto.co.uk/PhotoView.jsp?&c ... 8771494733

http://www.ofoto.co.uk/PhotoView.jsp?&c ... 9471494733

http://www.ofoto.co.uk/PhotoView.jsp?&c ... 6861494733

As you can see l`ve gone for a Scimitar with working hatches (once all done) & best of all a crew that can go in & out of the vehicle. As you can see by the 2 with Temp DPM (custom paintjob by me).
The top of the turret has all the line drawings for all the sights & hatches.

I`ve made the bins & exhaust, though they need to be afixed, also as you can see l`ve made the hull more like the CVR(T) with working swingout hatch (a tad bigger than it should be,though still looks great). Figure slips in easy enough.

Once done l`m going for the Black/Green camo of the British Army & it`ll be Household cavalry markings too.

Also here`s a sneek peek of my WIP LAND ROVER WOLF XD WMIK (Weapons Mounted Instillation Kit). Let me know what you think of both.

You can see the spare wheels which will be strapped to the side of the frame.

Oh here`s the real version..........

And the Landrover

Both are looking like good starts, nice to see this early stage with construction marks as well!

Interesting to see the different turret styles on the two version as well.
It's good to be back

Thank`s Very Much Steve, appreciate the actual visable phots :D

As said on Louie`s thread, mine should be done by next w`end, all going well & that`s BOTH the Scimitar & WMIK landie.

As for the designs being different, well as we have both said, had a lot of PM chater on this, since my original post asking IF a Wolverine could be converted (took me till 2 weeks ago to finally get one cheap enough....LOL).

Anyway Louie said he was doing fixed crew & as l like the idea of playable,l went for the Hollow turret instead (Longer route to the finished product granted) so the guys can be in or out & also have removabel headwear (S6 Helmets,Armoured crew helmets & berets) as well as removable British webbing & SA80s :D

So once done hoping for a rather accurate British crew & mount.

Well again Steve thank`s for visable photos & hope everyone enjoys it & here`s to the finished version next weekend (eitherway l`ll report next week with something...LOL).

Will it be Ok to add the images of the final version to the custom part of the main site? If you like I can also add some of the WIP images to show the process.
