baron, you interested in sgt. savage figures? just found unopened general blitz!
Don't get too upset about it. Some of the views are mine (about 2) but I sometimes look at work and use my mobile rather than the work computer (even though it's usually at lunch breaks. The problem is typing in on a mobile is tricky, for me at least as it's too slow, so I 'lurk' when I'm on the mobile.

Most of my posts have had about 10 times the views of the number of comments, and I think that's usual, plus it's a forum where logging in isn't required to view, so to post you have to log in, return to the page and then post.

Also it's quite addictive to make something and see what people think. Noone commented on my Rihanna for ages, though on Hisstank it got lots of comments and stars (which was unusual), but to be honest my main aim in making one was because I wanted it on my shelf. I love it (not literally LOL), and comments are the icing on the cake.

I used to be the main customiser on a huge Dr Who site, and it had thousands of posters. I found that customisers who posted customs with a large part of it for the feedback ended up being dissatisfied and leaving things behind. The bottom line with customs is to do them purely because you like them, not for feedback.

If I'm honest, I've felt frustrated too at times, but that's because when you are brimming with enthusiasm and people don't like that particular corner of the Joe/AF universe you can be checking what people think so often that it takes a while for the comments to catch up.

I'm in your position, I think - a newbie, a rediscovered interest in AF, and importantly we both have a lot of experience in model making and sculpting, but culturally the site works differently to how one might suspect. Rest assured that there are people here who appreciate your work who might not post comments - it's often a very reserved board - but from what I can tell most people are very friendly and a lot of them really do have hearts of gold.

As a complete sidestep, the Palitoy AF figures sculpt wise are astonishing for their era and are better than the 80s Joe sculpts (purely aesthetically) though the articulation is worse. The frogman, for example, or Eagle looks better next to the 25th stuff than most of the 80's Joe stuff does (at least in my opinion)

I look forward to seeing your stuff - it's top notch.

Earlier I was going to write that it was a shame you were in HK as I'd love my 25th SAS to tackle your Shads/Plague squad, but of course I was phone-browsing.

As for the filecards, I use Courier new for everything except the main tile which is Engravers Book type font :commando:

thanks baby jelly, but it's not even about people commenting on my figures i was just really struggling with the file cards & wasnt sure if the info sounded ok or sounded like an over-exited kid! ive never done filecards before & just wanted some advice on content.
storm trooper guy, (andy?) i wasnt slagging off action force, ive benn trying to think of something interesting to do with an old palitoy figure but cant come up with an idea + cant get hold of one!
it was about 4am my time when i posted this & i was incredibly drunk, didnt realise "you guys suck" would cause so much offense, i wasnt trying to berate anyone into leaving a comment, like i said ive realised im better of leaving customs elsewhere.
if i had more af stuff it would be on here!
thinking about an ironblood custom, with cobra comander having so much trouble within his ranks, ever wondered what would happen if he retuned to his ever loyal shadows..........

Sgt. Savage was the line hasbro released when they stopped the 3-3/4" figures in 95. they were 5" figures, based around new characters, "sgt.savage & his screaming eagles" vs. the "i.r.o.n. army"
this is the first one ive ever seen, dont think this line ran for long.
been finding a lot of old stuff in the toy malls over here (mostly marvel) some factory in china is obviously emptying their store room!

the figure i have is: http://www.yojoe.com/sgtsavage/cyblitz.shtml
his packaging is not in good condition im afraid, just wondered if you were interested in any hasbro stuff

Hey, I'm lookin your Cards over and heres the incorrect parts.
Aleph was leader of the Night Creepers and Red Ninja's For awhile so he isnt head of all Cobra Ninja's
I doubt anyone didnt take Aleph serious other than Firefly, and Storm Shadow (As they know there skill surpasses his)
Black-Out failed on his first mission, he didnt wash out. He panicked under fire , failed to listen to orders and hid till backup arrived. After this came to light he was Court Marshalled.
Black-Out sniping ability is above average but below Barrel Rolls.
Black-out is the oldest sibling but always following Barrel Rolls and Bombstrikes foot steps and usualy failing behind them.

I LOVED THE PLAUGE! the only complaint I had was not using the toy versions of 2 of the 3 toys and then changing munitas as well. I would have rather seen the toys in the comics than the new uniforms

and I loved the stalls and I think one of the biggest missed out stories that DDP lost on was the whole STALLS family. that could have been this generations SNAKE EYES and STORM SHADOW story

also im 99 percent sure aleph was NEVER in charge of the RED NINJAS and ONLY the night creepers

( unless it was written in the AE data file and IM 99 percent sure it wasnt)

anyways, love these guys and I too want to see more

Many of us are probally just a little slow right now with the whole site down. Im personally crazy busy with ACTION FORCE RED DAWN issues 3-6 at the moment and havent spent as much time on the boards responding to things.

anyways MORE OF THE PLAUGE is always a good thing

yeah, i think the info was from some official crap, but it's probably typical bad comic book continuity!
i will get around to posting blackout @ some point & i finished alephs head, but unfortunately these guys have been dropped as i'm spending all my time concentrating on the colouring project, my spoof comics & my shadow army!
will post some shads soon, the jet is painted but i gotta add transfers, ive painted a hummer, 3 troopers, cobra commander as commander ironblood & you've already seen my black major.
