Action Man resistance is weakening. Especially as both Paul's have now given in.

It's funny how so many of us are getting tempted!

A year ago, I had no interest in buying an AM at all.

Now, I've 6 of the fellas with plans for at least 4 more.

Clearly, space is more of an issue with AM though.

I make it on here, the following are tempted or have fully turned to the large side to some degree:

Aire Devon [who has everything ever made.]
Paul463
Andy1672
SteveD
Dave Tree
Chopper
and the old c*** himself, Me. :doc: :doc: :doc:

Seeing our Series one's all done up in adult big size is too good to resist for me...

As Jamar said the other day, we'll be needing a new section on the forum for the AM soon!

Can't see the evil Baron being very keen on that, though, as he's not a fan of the Series 1 stuff!

Speaking of such, who was it that made those amazing AM size figures for the Red Shadow/ Black Major, etc?

That thread needs digging out again as they were so cool!

And I remember seeing Scoobydie's AM size Cobra Trooper round his place before - that rocked!

Anyway, just rambling.... Man I LOVE half term!

Cheers Baron,

Just searched and this is the thread:

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1563&hilit=porkins

Those of us re-kindling our love of the AM, we all need to get a couple of these!

[I bet Mr Igoe is getting all sweaty in his comfort-fit panties just looking!!! [If you ever read this John, sorry! :doc: ]]

Now Dave, you said you're quite matey with Alan Hall, how about working some magic on knocking out a few of these please?

This could well be the thin end of the wedge....

I got to thinking which original Action Man outfits I have, and amongst the loose miscellaneous stuff I think I have three Action Men (two blue pants, with heads fallen off, and one older, with no hands).

I have plans to fix the heads to my two blue pants, and possibly buy some new hands for old "commando no kecks". That gives me three for dressing up, which should be enough to whoop Darth Mauls ass, and nicely fills the bit of space I have left.

1 is obviously going to wear my 80's SAS outfit (always favourite as a lad - Embassy Seige has a lot to answer for!), one is to be winter outfit (pure white one, if it is all still there), leaving the third one crying out to be the orange frogman. But the rubber suit I have has set all hard and cracked, so I'm currently watching a replacement on Ebay. I figure that will give me three, in my favourite outfits of all time, all of which are originals from the 80's, other than the actual orange rubbery suit.

I fear the worst however, as I then remembered I have a blue space ranger outfit too.

Just been on again and was about to buy two more and the site crashed...... It's an omen... Buy them as quick as you can!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

SteveD, is the frogman suit actually cracked or just dried out? You may be able to salvage it by soaking it in fabric softener.

My Space Ranger's rubber romper suit perished up a long time ago..I've not bought any of the 40th stuff...yet!
It's taken me far too long to piece together the 17 (old) A.M.s I have got..

Farking hell guys, stop it. I have my AM's in the lounge on display sitting on my subwoofer atm. Been there about 6 months, I change his gear every few days and tell the kids he did it himself during the night. And guess what uniform he's got on atm Thundershot? That's scary you picked that picture.

I'd forgotten about Space Ranger dude. Ohhh, arrr. He was very cool. I put my AM's on hold to focus on AF for a while, but this is NOT helping. Grrrr.

I had a weird dream last night, I have near a whole NZ army WWII uniform. I thought about getting a full sized dummy and paining a scar on his face. I also have a 1942 Lee Enfield snipers rifle. Can you see where this is going? I'm going nucking futs I think. Too late.

Well the first two have arrived!!!! They look brilliant. I was impressed with the box content too the wee catalogue and the star collection card. I had them sent to my mum's and she was just as taken by them, she started to re count some stories of buying these when I was a kid. A nice afternoon.
