Dr Who Lady Jaye...

Post by Thundershot »

Hi all,
A nice little link between Dapol's Dr Who figures & :maf:
The Ice Warriors weapon is the same as :jaye: 's :

As far as I can tell, except for being made in different coloured plastics, they're exactly the same.

I wonder if Hasbro lent or sold the original moulds to Dapol (or even knew they were using it) for their Dr Who figures?

Good spot :)

I see those Dapol figures pop up in the local collector's shop every now and then. They are a little tall for my personal 3 3/4" tastes, but I like the idea.

I see they did 3 3/4" Dr Who figures recently and I know in my heart if they did a complete set of all the doctors I would have to have them!!!

Thanks Shaun :-D

The Dapol monsters aren't so bad, I think, scale wise.. most original 'Who' monsters were pretty tall.(But the Daleks & humans are too tall)

It's fun staging vintage style battles between them & :originalaf:, especially :marine: & :2para:'s.

The new 3 3/3" figures do look great, don't they?, those cardboard play-sets would work well for :AFLogo: & it'd be really cool if they made the Brigadier & 70's style U.N.I.T soldiers.

I think Dapol just "found" the Lady Jaye weapon somewhere and reused it. Is it just a tiny bit smaller?

I have at least 50 Dapol figures. The one that is really too tall is the 3rd Doctor.

The new Character Options figures are great, I only collect 3.75" and like them very much. I would love it if they did all the Doctors, really hope that happens.

As far as playsets, I only attempted to put the Dalek Invasion cardboard set together. It was not a very nice set-up. Very hard to get it together and it doesn't stay once you do. I think you would need a lot of glue to get it to be sturdy.
