A Delta Dart, VERY cool. I too went B-52 spotting recently. Darwin has one on permanent loan from the USAF, the last one to serve when the US had an Air Base in Darwin. I will get pics up soon, promise.

Kaman Huskie if I'm not mistaken. The two rotors are sort of contra rotating so you don't need a tail rotor to counteract torque.

See, I know my Choppers. ;-)

OOH Skyraider!! Great aircraft. They were still going with the Chad Air Force till 1987 in anti guerilla warfare. In Chad they even used the aft station on the aircraft for a “bombardier” and his “special stores” – empty beer bottles – as these were considered as non-lethal weapons, thus not breaking the government-imposed rules of engagement, during operations against Libyan-supported rebels in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Proved to be a very effective psychological weapon as well as the obvious damage done.

The avionics humps on the RNZAF A4-K Skyhawks were removed in 1990, they were empty and no use at all. Before that they were used by Kiwi pilots to smuggle booze back into the country. Where there is a will there is a way. ;-)

Lovely stuff. Love the Skyraider, one if my all time favs. Been in a B52, was surprised by how little room there is in the cockpit.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

As Chop pointed out its a Huskie, a short range resuce effort from the 50s/60s. The first time I've ever seen one and for obvious reasons it looks unique.

More?

Vampires are awesome, M'kay. There are a couple flying down here and they are brilliant to watch. And a Starfighter too, beautiful. More please.
