Mark Harrison is cool too, he did the last Durham Red epic.
I think Paul Marshall would do a good Action Force, he has a Vanyo / Hopgood feel about him. In fact he reminds me most of Herge.

His ABC Warriors was better in my mind (actually felt a little let down by The Horned God) guess I'm in a minority there ..but loved his Warriors as thats; what got him noticed (you felt whole comic industry changing every time he appeared in 2000ad in a very short space of time..nothing would ever be the same after he arrived) ahh the memories lol

I don't know about names, but I bet the modern BAF would have switched to ugly, stylised artwork, gaudy coloured letters pages with 'readers photos' and "fantastic free disc shooter" cellotaped to the front page.
