I think Paul Marshall would do a good Action Force, he has a Vanyo / Hopgood feel about him. In fact he reminds me most of Herge.

His ABC Warriors was better in my mind (actually felt a little let down by The Horned God) guess I'm in a minority there ..but loved his Warriors as thats; what got him noticed (you felt whole comic industry changing every time he appeared in 2000ad in a very short space of time..nothing would ever be the same after he arrived) ahh the memories lol

Any Relation ? Paul that is..?.David Roach would be another ..to capture that classic look but imagine it Kevin O'Neil doing Ironblood ..now that would be over the top and amazing ..unlikely but one can dream

I don't know about names, but I bet the modern BAF would have switched to ugly, stylised artwork, gaudy coloured letters pages with 'readers photos' and "fantastic free disc shooter" cellotaped to the front page.
