So do any of you guys actually play with your figures or just set up battlescenes? I think i read a post where someone mentioned using fantasy rules to play.
I was thinking it might be damm good fun to set up a big battle scene then arm yourself and a mate with a soft air bb gun each and blow the crap out of each other. hehe
Please tell me someone else out there is as sad as me

Total War
Nope but I do intend on using them in another way.
I plan to run a roleplaying game sometime soon for my rpg group using the d20 system Spycraft rules from Alderac Entertainment ( http://www.spycraftrpg.com/ ). As my group are big on using miniatures to represent characters/monsters in rpg battles so as to make combat easier to follow, I intend to use AF/GI Joe figures instead. Draw the layouts for the buildings etc on our reuseable 25mm squared battlemats and away we go. Be a while into the campaign before the group encounter the Shadows though, I'll start them off easy with some Cobra encounters. They afterall are mercs and understand the concept of surrender, the shadows fight to the death.
Drawback to this fine plan is that while the character figures for Cobra (such as Cobra High Command) are fairly easy to get hold of, the basic troops (Cobras, Officers, Vipers, Eels, Snow Serpents and Crimson Guards) are really pricey and thats put a halt on that plan.

There are really only two possibilities: Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a pretty worrying thought!
