Silver paint for a touch up?

Post by Jimbobx »

My Optimus Prime exhausts have got some blue showing through. Can anyone tell me which paint would be best to touch them up.

Ta.

Mate if they are a chrome layer over the plastic I would leave them alone as paint would never match. You can get a very thin chrome layer sheet from hannants.co.uk model supplies. Think it is called something like alclad?

The closest thing I've found was a plastikote spray chrome in Wilkinsons. It came out a very shiny silver, but was not reflective. I then discovered that if you used plastikote lacquer on top of it, it goes dull. :-x

Thanks for the advice guys. (Not you Steve ;) )
Any recommendations for the red cab bit? (Apart from just plain ol red - there's bound to be an exact match which is called 'london bus on a sunny day red' or summat)
