No, the dustjackets are printed on a thick, semi-gloss paper. None of the foil stamps would show through. Much like the HC's you purchase, most have some kind of design or writing underneath the dustjacket.

I haven't decided which would look best. Just for my taste, I like the look of the foil ...

That's a good question, Puma. I really like the Joe logo stamped on the spine, and since the dies aren't cheap, I was only willing to pay to make one. So the logo got the nod.

One of these days, I might make some dustjackets for them all, and I've considered lots of artistic ways to ...

Just wanted to let interested parties know, I've created a new site to showcase all the bound comics I've had done. Of interest to the BFTB comics-loving crowd will be the Joe section where I've posted all the pics and the maps to each volume. Cheers.

Thanks! Aside from the cost of collecting all the issues, each volume costs $15USD to bind, and the optional cover and spine stamps are about $5 each. By the time I ship them to and from the bindery, I've got another $5 each in them. So these come to about $30USD each by the time you're completely ...

They are original comics actually fully oversewn bound together. It's very sturdy and comes out great.
