CHECK THIS OUT!

Postby The Baron » 15 May 2014 23:25

I've just been contacted by Steve Wilson from ITV's This Morning show - he'll be hosting a talk about retro toys tomorrow morning!

http://www.itv.com/thismorning/home-gar ... son-20-nov

He had this to say:

"I'm doing a demo of old toys, mostly talking about rubiks cube, playmobil etc, but showing my pic of gi joe stuff to show im a toy fan! Bringing a few bits too inc my baron ironblood on card! Action Force has been a lifelong obsession for me!"

I can't wait to see it!

Cool! Hopefully we get to see a clip of his bit sometime. I wouldn't encourage anyone to attempt to watch an entire show of This Morning on ITV though. There can be serious health implications, long term, on subjecting yourself to it for anything over five minutes.

Last time I watched it I convinced myself I was going through the menopause ;)

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! -Conan the Cimmerian

I recorded it on Friday but just got a chance to watch it last night.
It's the finest bit of television I've seen since gung-hoeddie's photo appeared on Sunday Brunch.

Steve Wilson is a LEGEND!
As he said, the show was mainly about Rubiks Cube and Playmobil but he went out of his way to explain the origin of Action Force in relation to Action Man and GI Joe.
Eamonn Holmes seemed knowledgeable about Action Man (he had 15 of them back in the day) and it's connection to GI Joe.

If you are in the UK you can watch it here for the next couple of days.https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/this-morning
